The Isle of Man is one the most economically stable of the offshore fund domiciles, with a per capita income higher than the UK. It has an ‘AAA’ credit rating. An important element of the Island’s fiscal stability is a requirement for the Government to budget for a surplus in its annual revenue spending.
The Isle of Man has a good infrastructure with a well-developed financial services industry. It is a relatively small domicile, with approximately $22 bn in fund assets, but it has a number of experienced service providers.
It has more space than the other two UK offshore locations of Guernsey and Jersey and is a good location for those that wish to be close to the UK or Ireland.
